A Conversation with a Squirrel.

What’s it like Mr. Squirrel?

To have eyes on the side of your head?

Nature gave me wonderful, stereoscopic vision.

I can see you,

Camouflaging yourself against the oak tree,

Perched on the ugly knotted, gnarl that the tree grew to offer you a chair.

You’re doing a good job of hiding,

But,

My eyes were designed to kill you.

I’m not using them to shoot bullets at you, though,

I’m using them to understand a world where escape is always monitored by my opposite     eyeball.

You see,

I don’t have an opposite eyeball,

And,

As a result,

My brain is not equipped comprehend your world,

It can only end your world.

A world where a quick and efficient escape is always an option.

If you can identify the predators,

Mr. Squirrel,

And identify their eyes.
